Confusing Comment

I just rejected a comment, submitted twice, about a book by someone named Steve Harvey. The comment was very long and included links and I didn't think it was appropriate for posting, as it was long enough to be a blog entry. However, there was mention of the author using the title of another book. To be honest, I didn't read the whole comment, so don't know what the actual complaint is, but for the record, book titles are not subject to copyright protection. Which is why there are so many books with the same titles, which can drive librarians crazy when patrons ask for a book by title and the title is common, but they know nothing about the contents nor do they know the author and there are 3-5 different books with the title.

Please try to keep comments on topic. If you comment on a Booked by 3 post, you should be either answering the meme or leaving a link to where you did.

I just rejected a comment with a string of links, book-related, so it wasn't spam, but it was in the Booked by 3 post and I hadn't asked for other book sites. It may sound petty of me, but I do like to keep thing fairly organized and comments on the meme posts should be on topic.

If you have book sites you want to rec, just email them to me. I'll check 'em out and if I like them, I'll do a post about them. That way, everyone has a better chance of seeing them.

Unwanted Comments

I'll say this just once. I already put "word" verification on here because of spam comments. I'll put comment moderation on if I have to. Comments advertising anything will not be allowed to remain here or on any of my blogs. You want to suggest a book-related site, fine, but no iPod gimmicks or other crap. And that includes someone trying to push their own book. This isn't a commercial site, nor will it ever be so. I've just permanently removed a Free iPod comment and don't want to have to keep doing this.

This is s book blog. Feel free to answer the Booked by 3 meme questions, comment on the reviews, discuss books you've read, but comments should be book-related. I really hate when everyone else has to suffer because of spammers, but I get any more advertising comments, and moderation goes into effect. Sorry, folks, but that's the way it will have to be. I'd rather take the time to review comments before they appear, than let spam comments sit here for all to see. I hope all my regular readers here will understand. Thanks in advance.
