Sadly, I have only read two of the books on the list.

Am I wrong to be completely uninpsired by any of the titles on the list?

Though probably the Roth novel deserves reading.

Stuck by the limited amount of Non-fiction on the list.

  3. I don't read short story collections (with so many books to read, something had to go) and I'm fussy about the non-fiction I read. The ones on the list I plan to read are:
    Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell,
    The Plot Against America, and
    The Great Influenza

The Shadow of the Wind sounds intriguing, as does Another Bullshit Night in Suck City.

I'd be tempted by Rats, but I'm too creeped out by the cover. :)

13 of the titles are classified as Non-Fiction (includes poetry and biographies), which is more than half, so the list is balanced IMO, as it usually is.
