Another for the TBR Stack

I really should avoid bookstores on my lunch hour. I don't seem to be able to leave without buying something. Usually, I try to stick to my list. My list of books wanted is 6 typed pages. Every so often, a book catches my eye. Maybe it's the title. Maybe the cover. Maybe a bit of both. Today, something caught my eye. I think the fact that there were only 2 of it on the shelf brought it to my attention. Obviously, other people had bought it. I picked it up. I read the blurb, something about spiritualism and seances in the 1920s inPhiladelphia. It was odd enough sounding to intrigue me. I walked around with it while looking at the other new trade pbs and then the new mass market pbs, then the new SF pbs. Then I headed over to pay for it.

"It" is Inamorata by Joseph Gangemi. Amazon just has the hardcover listed, but the trade has a different cover. I like the trade pb's cover better: black with white lettering, a green bird, a blue splotch of shadow below. Very striking. Has anyone read this?

So now I have another new book to read and I'm hardly denting the stacks of such books at home, let alone my list of books to buy. (sighing heavily)

Addenda: He has a website and you can see the trade pb cover there: www.josephgangemi.com.

I haven't read it yet, either, but it's also a TBR for me. I asked my library director to get it, but I'm not sure if she actually ordered it or not. Thanks for reminding me.
